Catalina Island gets pride of place on a Lagoon escapade
The weather was perfect, with favorable winds when 20 Lagoon catamarans set sail for Two Harbors, Catalina Island in Southern California, for the 2022 edition of the Lagoon Escapade.
The weather was perfect, with favorable winds when 20 Lagoon catamarans set sail for Two Harbors, Catalina Island in Southern California, for the 2022 edition of the Lagoon Escapade.
Greeted with a welcome drink, owners enjoyed an aperitif dinner where everyone was invited to cook their own dish and share their cooking style. Good times were shared, creating a great way to bond!
On the Saturday, Captain John Miller had the opportunity to present an overview of safety at sea with a focus on catamarans. Between theory and practice, participants learnt about inflating lifejackets and about boarding a liferaft.
Guests enjoyed sipping the best cocktails on the island at Harbor Reef, attending a wine tasting, playing pétanque, and listening to the Good Cop-Bad Cop band in a charming French Riviera-themed setting at Del Rey Yacht Club.
Eventually the 20 Lagoon catamarans had to return to Los Angeles, but the trip back to reality went smoothly with exceptional weather: 15 knots of wind and brilliant sunshine, an incredible sail making a beautiful end to this escapade!
