Tailor Your Dream: Reimagining Life on Board

At Lagoon, customisation isn't about adding options. It starts with a simple question: how do you want to live on board?

In this third episode of Tailor Your Dream, Matthieu Brouillet shares a remarkable request from one of our owners: integrating a fully custom cinema room into their yacht.

This wasn't about installing a screen in the saloon. Or upgrading the audio-visual setup. It was about designing a dedicated space, conceived from the ground up to deliver a fully immersive experience — at sea and at anchor.

Designing a cinema at sea

Creating a projection room on board involves far more than interior design.

The team had to consider:

  • Volume placement and circulation flows
  • Acoustic treatment and vibration management
  • Electrical and technical integration
  • Seating, lighting and atmosphere

Every detail had to be anticipated from the outset, ensuring comfort, safety and coherence with the overall balance of the yacht.

A collective endeavour

This kind of request reflects the way Lagoon approaches bespoke projects.

It starts with listening. Then come feasibility studies, exchanges with the technical teams, development and integration.

In this case, the cinema room became a central living space on board — a place to gather, designed to bring well-established life on land out to sea.

A fully embraced philosophy

This ability to adapt volumes and reimagine how spaces are used finds its most complete expression in the Lagoon EIGHTY 3. Designed to accommodate a wide range of life projects, it offers exceptional freedom in interior layout and spatial configuration.
