Now Lagoon owners will be able to start their mapping in the Caribbean, a geographical area unfortunately known for its heavy marine pollution.

AnimaMundi, meaning “the soul of the earth”, is a non-profit organization based in Geneva, Switzerland. Its objective is to develop a database of plastic waste that exists on our coasts using a state-of-the-art proprietary technology, so that the interpretation of photo and video recordings allows the accounting of single-use plastic bottles.

The goal of this partnership is to create the world's first comprehensive database tracking the amount of plastic waste on our coasts.

The data collected will be used to prove whether actions taken to limit the influx of plastics into our oceans are leading to a reduction in coastal pollution, and to define future actions that need to be taken.
